WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU BACK IN THE CLUB NEXT SEASON.  WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A LOT OF THINGS TO DO - AS WELL AS A GREAT UPCOMING YEAR IN 25-26!

THE CALENDAR RAFFLE IS COMPLETED AND IS READY TO PURCHASE

This is our 3^rd Calendar Raffle, and I can proudly say that it is the biggest one we have had! SPOILER ALERT…Although September has 30 days, we have more than 40 prizes and that is THANKS TO YOU, our members, and your generosity! 

Each prize package is worth $100 or more. I tried my best to gather similar items from what we had but had to purchase many items to complete some of the packages. I also had help from Club Secretary/Treasurer, Diana Meyers, who did some shopping in South Carolina!!! My neighbors are commenting on the number of boxes that have been delivered lately!!!!

The email has been sent to the club membership with a PDF link to the raffle.  If you did not get the email you can get the PDF here!

Raffles cost $25.00 per entry ($26.00 by Venmo @nyibooster) and you will be eligible to win EVERY drawing! Winners are chosen using a computer program that randomly selects the winner.  We will announce the winners daily and at the beginning of October, we will choose a day to distribute your prizes!

JUST A REMINDER… the reason for this raffle is to benefit Pat LaFontaine’s Companions in Courage Foundation (CIC16.org) which builds interactive playrooms (LIONS DENS) in hospitals throughout North America. Through innovative communications tools, these playrooms replace the isolation of a hospital with a connection to family, friends and celebrities during each hospital stay.  Their mission is simple. No Child in the fight for life or health should ever have to go through it alone. 

Companions in Courage gives courage, friendship, compassion and support to those children and families who are overcoming illness and life-threatening obstacles. We have already donated $1,500.00 to CIC that was earmarked for the Lion’s Den Room that is being built at Good Samaritan Hospital in Islip! Hopefully, we can raise a substantial amount to add to our original donation!!!!!

   THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13. WE HAD TO SECURE TICKETS NOW - AS TICKETS THERE GO LIKE LIGHTNING!!! - THIS GAME IS NOW LOCKED - AS WE HAD TO PROVIDE NUMBERS AS OF 8/4/2025.  THANKS TO ALL THAT ARE GOING - WE INTEND TO BE LOUD AND PROUD!
2. MONTREAL -
   
   OUR JOURNEY INTO CANADA WILL BE ON MARCH 21, 2026.  WE HAVE SECURED A NATIONWIDE BUS COMPANY - SO THE PROBLEMS WITH 2023 AND A BREAKDOWN WILL NOT BE AN ISSUE.  WE WOULD LEAVE AT MIDNIGHT - ARRIVE ABOUT 8AM.  OUR HOTEL WILL BE THE NOVOTEL MONTREAL (SAME HOTEL AS THE PAST). THE GAME IS 7PM AND WE WILL DEPART ABOUT 8:00 AM SUNDAY - AS WE HAVE A HOME GAME SUNDAY NIGHT.  TICKETS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL AUGUST - SO WILL NOT KNOW PRICES AS OF YET - WILL LET YOU KNOW AS WE GET CLOSER.

POTENTIALS:

1. TAMPA/FLORIDA - DID NOT GET ENOUGH ACTIVITY TO WARRANT GROUP TICKETS - SO THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS YEAR
2. BUFFALO - GAME IN DECEMBER - WAIT FOR CHEAP AIRFARES IN THE FALL.  WILL GET A HOTEL IF WE GET ENOUGH PEOPLE.
3. COLUMBUS - THIS GAME IS IN FEBRUARY 2026.  ALSO - A GET TICKETS ONLY SITUATION
4. JERSEY - ROLL YOUR OWN GAME ON THE THURSDAY BEFORE THE OLYMPIC BREAK. $65 TICKETS ON THE TOP OF THE 100s.
