BOOSTER NEWS 06/30/2025

Hello everyone...

Well - it was a great weekend for Islander fans.  Matt Schaefer is definitely a game changer in the making.  The way he represents himself, as well as his family, is quite special for a young man of 17.  I like the makeup of the entire draft - rounds 1 through 7.  It is a good group - sound players and good quality character according to friends.

So - what is going on the with the Booster Club you ask????

Well - I will tell you

1. We are using a new platform - called Booostr.  It is a place that we will have better contact management (membership) - blogging capabilities, as well as being an on-line place to sign up for membership, trips, etc.
   1. We will be having a form for membership (go to it - at the top of any page of the web site).  You will fill out one page for each person in your family.  Then - you will need to send the money for the membership via Cash or Check (payable to NYIBC) - or Venmo (@nyibooster).  
   2. Remember - if you are paying via Venmo - please add $1.00 per membership to cover costs.  Any additional monies collected will go to the general charity fund.
   3. We will be coordinating 2025-26 Trips from here as well.  We will take requests here on the site
2. We are hoping with the new regime in charge of the Islanders, that there may be changes in the fan experiences that happen during the season.  At the end of the summer, we will be in touch with the team, and discuss opportunities that we may have as boosters
3. With this new system, we will also be changing the way we send notes to our membership.  We are hoping to take advantage of texting capabilities and other ways to reach out to our membership quicker and more efficient.  The most important thing to take out - is that when we try to get people to sign up for a trip, or event, or meeting - it is CRITICAL to get in touch.  By using the online approach - we can be told right away.  As always - thanks for the help.
